Install and pair

From download to the first verified copy.

The setup stays visible so you understand where the files move and which device holds the backup.

Install both apps

Get VaultCopy on iPhone. Open the DMG on Mac and move VaultCopy Agent to Applications.

Choose the vault

Open the menu-bar Agent and select the local Markdown vault folder you want to protect.

Pair locally

Keep Mac and iPhone on the same reachable local network, then scan the QR code shown by the Agent.

Back up and verify

Tap Backup Now. VaultCopy creates, downloads, checks, and saves the snapshot on iPhone.

Release verification

The public download can be independently checked.

These details are for administrators, reviewers, and advanced users. They stay out of the main download decision but remain available when trust needs evidence.
